First Annual Cross Country Trail Run and Day in the Country
To Raise Funds for 2015 selected charity recipients, The Renzi Center for Education and the Arts and One Great River!

Date & Starting Time: Saturday, May 23rd 8:00 am at Lynn Farms, 11580 Hwy 3049, Gilliam, LA.
10 & 3 Mile Run start at 8:00 a.m. ½ mile fun run starts at 8:05 a.m.
Registration: Early Registration is $35 through Saturday May16 and $40 from May 17-22. Race day Registration is $45.
T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up: Every pre-registered participant will receive an original BackRoads and Bayous t-shirt, food ticket, and goodies given by businesses, friends and community of the Ross Lynn Foundation.
Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum Thursday, May 21st from 12 pm- 7 pm and Friday, May 22nd from 10 am-5: 30 pm. You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the Race Site at 7:00am.
Awards: Overall Male & Female finishers in the 10-mile race will receive a framed print of Ross Lynn’s Photography and a Liberty Bottleworks “recycled aluminum” water bottle with custom race logo art work design. Overall Male and Female finishers in the 3-mile race will receive a trophy and a Liberty Bottleworks “recycled aluminum” water bottle with custom race logo art work design. 1st place winners in both races in each age category will receive a medal and a Liberty Bottleworks “recycled aluminum” water bottle with custom race logo art work design.
Age Groups: 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Pre and During and Post Party Happenings!: Pre run stretching and sun salutations at 7:30; additional yoga for “Day in the Country” attendees during the run and post run recovery yoga and acupuncture for runners – all under the Breathe Yoga tent; Art for children following the fun run under the Renzi Center tent; Taco bar and water and sports drink (grass fed meat and produce locally sourced by Mahaffey farms); food tickets will be available for non – runners to purcase.
Special Note: Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will not be allowed on the course due to terrain, but are welcome around the festival site. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation!
