Purpose of One Great River One Great River is contributing to the field of prevention practice by demonstrating effective program approaches and by transferring knowledge to policy makers, key community leaders, and prevention practitioners; including parents and youth. Currently we are focusing on the prevention of substance abuse and related health risk behaviors. We operate through three project divisions: Youth Development, Parent Training, and Media Projects
